Celebrate the History of Disney Parks with Limited Time Magic Tours

LTM-ToursThis week, Disney is kicking off the first of a series of tours in celebration of “Limited Time Magic” at the Walt Disney World Resort and continuing with special tours at Disneyland Resort.

Walt Disney World

Discover a new view of the grandeur at Disney’s Hollywood Studios from September 16-20! As part of Limited Time Magic, you can follow an official Walt Disney World Ambassador on a tour of the park. Created by Walt Disney in 1965, the Disney Ambassador Program has carried on a rich heritage of imaginative storytelling and goodwill service for Disney. Come learn more about the story of the park’s history—including fun facts and icons you may have missed—before enjoying a “walk” through of one of its most popular attractions, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, before the park opens to the public. When the walking tour is finished, attendees will have the opportunity to be the first attraction riders of the day. This tour sets out from the park entrance once a day at 9:30 AM and space is limited, so register at the Disney Parks Blog to see a new side of Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Disneyland

At Disneyland Resort, also each morning from September 16-20, 2013, a group of guests will have the opportunity to relish in the history of Disney Parks and Resorts, including the integral role the 1964-1965 World’s Fair played in many beloved experiences! As part of Limited Time Magic, you can follow official Disneyland Ambassadors on a tour of Disneyland Park. Created by Walt Disney in 1965, the Disney Ambassador Program has carried on a rich heritage of imaginative storytelling and goodwill service for Disney. Enjoy their stories—from Imagineering innovations to the legacy of the Program itself—and hear how Walt’s involvement at the World’s Fair inspired technology that still exists in attractions today! Tour stops will include the Main Street, U.S.A., Opera House, Innoventions in Tomorrowland and “it’s a small world” in Fantasyland. This one-hour tour takes place once daily and space is limited—register at the Disney Parks Blog to see a LTM-Earsnew side of Disneyland Park!

Disney’s Year of the Ear

And don’t forget that 2013 celebrates the Year of the Ear as part of Limited Time Magic. And this month, guests can get spooky for the Year of the Ear with “spooktacular” Villains-themed headbands featuring the Evil Queen, Maleficent, the Queen of Hearts, and Ursula! At Walt Disney World Resort be on the lookout for these villainous offerings at the following locations: Villains en Vogue at Disney Hollywood Studios, MouseGear at Epcot, Emporium at Magic Kingdom park and World of Disney Store in Downtown Disney area. And at Disneyland Resort guests can be on the lookout for these villainous offerings at a host of different locations, such as the following: The Mad Hatter at Main Street, U.S.A. and Fantasyland, and the New Orleans Cart in Disneyland Park; Tower Hotel Gifts in Disney California Adventure Park; and World of Disney Store in Downtown Disney District.
