Disney World Now Testing New Mobile Order Service At Satu’li Canteen in Pandora – The World of Avatar

Exciting news for Walt Disney World guests, there’s a new update to the My Disney Experience app that will now allow guests to order food from select counter service restaurants throughout the parks and pay for it from their cell phones!

The new Mobile Order Service allows guests to pay for meals on-the-go within the My Disney Experience app, bypassing the queue to order at the restaurant. Using the app, you can select menu items, customize an order and pre-pay for a meal. The new service should be popular with guests allowing them to save time and frustration waiting in long lines, by ordering online ahead of time and then picking up their food at whatever time is most convenient for the guest.

The only restaurant currently offering the service is the Satu’li Canteen in Pandora – The World of Avatar, for those guests registered for the Annual Passholder Previews currently taking place daily. But Disney already has plans to expand the Mobile Order Service to other restaurants throughout the year.

So, how does it work? It’s pretty simple and self explanatory as the app takes you through the steps. First you choose one of the participating restaurants and then select the “Order Food” option. Then you select your  entree, which you can then customize to your preference by removing any ingredients you don’t want on your entree.

Once you’ve selected all of your items, you can proceed to the “Order Summary” for one final chance to review your order, the total cost, and complete your purchase. The app will automatically use the credit card attached to your My Disney Experience account, so you can hit purchase and you will receive a confirmation message.

At this point, you can go do whatever you like, ride the fantastic new Flights of Passage, shop for your very own banshee, or wander through this beautiful new land. And when you’re ready to eat, return to the restaurant at which time a notification will pop up and ask if you’re ready to dine there. Simply reopen the app and find your pre-order under “My Plans” and simply click the “I’m Here, Prepare My Order” button. Once you hit the button, then your food will be prepared and you will then receive a notification once your food is ready for pickup.

You will need to present your order number, so have this ready when you proceed to the designated window to pick up your food.

Only guests using credit card payment can use the Mobile Order Service. Mobile Order Service is not currently available for guests using the Disney Dining Plan at this time.

Mobile ordering is another added convenience that’s sure to be a huge convenience for guests once it catches on, much like the FastPass+ system. The Mobile Order Service will be also be available for the following counter service locations at the four Walt Disney World theme parks and Disney Springs at some point in the future:

~ ABC Commissary

~ Backlot Express

~ Columbia Harbor House

~ Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe

~ D-Luxe Burger

~ Electric Umbrella

~ Flame Tree Barbecue

~ Liberty Inn

~ Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe

~ Pinocchio Village Haus

~ Pizzafari

~ Restaurantosaurus

~ Satu’li Canteen

~ Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant

~ Tortuga Tavern

An exact start date for the service at all of these restaurants is still unknown, but Satuli Canteen will be using mobile ordering when the park opens to the public on May 27. Look for more restaurants to be added in the future if the program is successful.
