New Photos of Toy Story Land Construction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

With the crazy chaos of the opening week of Pandora – The World of Avatar calming down a little bit, some new construction over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is drawing some attention. Toy Story Land is the next themed land scheduled to open so it’s no surprise to see some increased activity taking place behind the construction walls at Hollywood Studios.

Fans will be excited to see these new aerial shots showing construction of the roller coaster track for the land’s headline attraction, the Slinky Dog Dash, is taking place.

The most visible construction signs to park guests is the addition of a solid beige scrim covering the upper half of One Man’s Dream and colorful new construction walls, featuring Buzz, Woody and the whole gang,  encompassing the area right outside of the Pixar Place area of the park. These walls are perfectly themed, showing our favorite Toy Story characters helping out with various jobs in the construction process.

A photo of the concept art for the addition of Toy Story Land has also been relocated to the newly placed construction walls next to One Man’s Dream.

Bob Chapek, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, recently announced that Disney will be releasing the opening date of Toy Story Land at this year’s D23 Expo, although it’s been rumored for months that the opening date is scheduled to take place in 2018.

With the 2017 D23 Expo scheduled for July 14-16, 2017, we’ll soon find out if those rumors are true or not.
